Singer/songwriter Chris Cornell will spend the the remainder of the year on the tour trail with the second leg of his solo acoustic outing, this time in support of his forthcoming effort, “Songbook.”

After nearly a month of gigs throughout New Zealand and Australia, the Grammy-winning musician will return to North America, beginning his official stateside run with a Nov. 1 show in Memphis, TN. The 25-date tour spans the nation before concluding with a Dec. 17 performance in San Diego.

Tickets for most shows are available now. Fans who purchase tickets for the “Songbook” tour online will receive a digital download copy of the forthcoming album, according to a press release.

“Songbook,” Cornell’s fourth solo studio set and first since 2009’s “Scream,” hits retailers Nov. 21. The UME release features songs from previous solo releases, such as “Can’t Change Me” from 1999’s “Euphoria Morning,” as well as tracks recorded with Soundgarden (”Fell on Black Days” and “Black Hole Sun”). A few covers also made the cut, including Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You” and John Lennon’s “Imagine.”

Cornell recently released a new single, “The Keeper,” which is featured on the soundtrack for the forthcoming Gerard Butler movie, “Machine Gun Preacher.” That song is currently available for download via iTunes.

Chris Cornell will release an acoustic album of his best songs with his various bands in November. ‘Songbook’ will be the accompanying album to the live tour Chris is currently doing around the world.

The ‘Songbook’ album features the songs he has been performing at the shows including songs from Soundgarden, Audioslave, Temple of the Dog and his solo records as well as covers from Led Zeppelin and John Lennon.
